Government Relations Report – AMTA Wyoming
Government Relations is focused on statewide licensure. Instead of enacting ordinances in separate counties, we feel unifying the state will serve to help create stronger public protections to recognize the professional practice of massage therapy. We look forward to a future that institutes standardization and a clear scope of practice for Wyoming’s massage therapists. Massage Therapy is expected to grow. In part due to new research and in part due to population increase.
We want to be proactive in supporting therapeutic professionals in preparation for expansion statewide.
We also endeavor to pursue licensure for Massage Therapists to assist professionals in “portability“ of taking their career with them. Should a Wyoming therapist move to another state, we would like the transition process to be less cumbersome.
I’d love to hear from you. If you have any thoughts regarding licensure of massage therapists in Wyoming contact email@example.com
